Role Overview
A well-established Florida multi-family general contractor is expanding its Estimating team in West Palm Beach. This is an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to work on large-scale multi-family projects while enjoying a supportive company culture, career growth, and excellent work/life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for assigned scopes.
- Solicit subcontractor and supplier quotes, evaluate proposals, and develop bid comparisons.
- Participate in value analysis, constructability reviews, and project scope discussions.
- Maintain organized documentation throughout the bid and preconstruction process.
- Collaborate with the senior estimator and project management teams to develop accurate pricing.
- Support preconstruction meetings and turnover to operations teams after award.
Qualifications
- Experience in conceptual estimating within construction or development.
- Background in multi-family construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate within an estimating team and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency with takeoff software and Excel-based cost tracking.
