Chief Financial Officer ~ Florida

A Florida construction company has the following construction job opportunity available: Chief Financial Officer

The CFO is accountable for the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve assets and report accurate financial results.

  • Function as an advisor to the CEO on financial aspects of various contracts.

  • Collaborate with peers and employees to leverage shared knowledge among departments and sister companies.

  • Manage, direct, and lead the Controller and the accounting and finance department, including Payroll.

  • MBA in accounting/finance, or related academic discipline is strongly preferred, and 5-10 years professional experience including progressive senior management positions in accounting or finance OR Bachelor’s degree required in accounting/finance, and 10-15 years professional experience including progressive senior management positions in accounting or finance.

  • FL CPA accreditation preferred

  • Qualified candidate will possess industry and/or local market experience.

  • Advanced computer/technical skills with various accounting applications (life cycle of the accounting and finance departments). Previous experience with JD Edwards or Viewpoint helpful.

  • Initiate actions and to deliver on commitments in a timely, accurate manner.

  • Required to visit various work locations, including warehouses and construction sites. This will require driving or flying.
