Houston contract to hire construction job opportunity available with an EPC organization. This role will act as the Lead Process/Lead Project Engineer on small to mid-cap projects for clients in the upstream and midstream sectors of the Oil & Gas market.
Candidates will possess the following skills, experience, and credentials:
Demonstrate experience in engineering and project management in the upstream and midstream gas processing industry: compressor stations, gas-oil-water surface facilities, and cryogenic and gas treating plants.
Demonstrate team leadership experience in a technical setting and ensures effective communications with other engineering disciplines.
Coordinates the development of project deliverables with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, and designers.
Participate and lead meetings with various clients to understand their project needs.
Lead in developing process scope including; PFD’s and process design basis documents.
Lead in the development of P&ID’s, mechanical package specifications, controls system specifications, and electrical deliverables.
Exhibit working knowledge of codes and standards applicable to a wide range of process and mechanical equipment/systems.
Generate equipment specifications, technical bid tabs and review/approve vendor submittals.
Possess basic Project Management skills: scheduling, cost controls, meeting facilitation, etc.
Minimal supervision required.
5-10 yrs applicable industry experience.
PE/EIT not required, but a plus. No US sponsorship available and NO relocation assistance.
