Senior Project Manager – Government / Federal Interior Renovations | Upstate New York
A financially strong, growth-oriented general contractor is hiring a Senior Project Manager with experience managing federal renovation projects across Upstate New York.
This role is focused on interior renovations in occupied environments—including government buildings, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and financial institutions. Projects range up to $8M.
If you understand federal project processes (GSA), submittals, RFIs, and government compliance, and can run projects without heavy oversight, this is a strong long-term opportunity.
What You’ll Do
- Manage multiple GSA and government renovation projects from start to finish
- Handle submittals, RFIs, and project documentation required for federal work
- Lead applications and compliance processes for government contracts
- Oversee budgets, schedules, and project execution across multiple jobs
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure performance across active sites
- Drive projects independently with minimal oversight
Must-Have Experience
- Experience as a Project Manager on GSA or federal construction projects
- Strong understanding of government processes, documentation, and compliance
- Experience managing interior renovation projects in occupied environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Procore (certification preferred)
- Strong communication and leadership skills with clients and field teams
