Senior Project Manager – Wastewater Treatment (WWTP)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Compensation: $130,000 – $200,000 (DOE) + Lucrative Bonus Program
A respected 3rd-generation general contractor, this firm has built its reputation on integrity, quality, and long-term client relationships. With a strong backlog of municipal and infrastructure work, the company is expanding and seeking a Senior Project Manager with WWTP experience to join its Sacramento team.

The Senior Project Manager will oversee complex Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), lift station, and pump station projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will manage client relationships, lead project teams, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in water/wastewater construction, proven leadership capabilities, and the desire to grow within a stable, people-first organization.
Key Responsibilities

Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of WWTP, lift station, pump station, and plant rehabilitation projects.

Manage full project lifecycle including subcontractor coordination, change orders, RFIs, procurement, and cost controls.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and field teams.

Ensure all project activities comply with company standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.

Mentor and support project engineers and field staff to drive high-performance team culture.

Maintain accurate project documentation, forecasts, and reporting.

Proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
Qualifications

8+ years of construction project management experience, with a strong emphasis on WWTP, lift station, or pump station projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure, civil construction, and mechanical/electrical systems common to plant work.

Proven success managing multi-million-dollar projects.

Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

Proficient in project management software and construction documentation systems.
