Superintendent II

Superintendent II must possess superior time management skills, leadership effectiveness, and attention to detail. Day-to-day job responsibilities include managing Junior Assistants, Foreman, and a variety of Skilled Laborers. Leading junior team members, scheduling and organizing the project to ensure it is both time and cost-effective. Driving quality control to ensure the project conforms to specifications. Most Superintendent II’s have between 10 to 15 years’ combined experience working their way up the ranks. Project budgets range from $10 to $100 million. Superintendent III / Senior Superintendent

The Superintendent III job description is similar to that of Superintendent II, but with a larger budget and staffing levels which require superior time management skills, leadership effectiveness, delegation, and attention to detail. Superintendent III’s are typically responsible for projects in the range of $50 to $250 million. Most have between 10 to 15 years’ combined experience working their way up the ranks. Superintendent IV/General Superintendent

Superintendent IV is typically responsible for projects over $250 million. Most have 20+ years’ combined experience working their way up the ranks as Junior and Mid-Level Superintendents. The job description is similar to Superintendent II and III. Since staffing levels are larger and projects are far more complex, General Superintendents often have additional executive responsibilities.
