Construction Estimator: Commercial General Contracting
Location: Flint, MI
Compensation: $100,000 to $150,000 + bonus + full benefits

A leading Midwest General Contractor with over 70 years of experience is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join its Flint, MI team. As one of the largest metal building contractors in Michigan, the company is carrying the strongest backlog in its history, and ownership is still looking to grow.
That growth has come the right way: repeat customers, negotiated and CM work, and deliberate diversification rather than bought work.
What You’ll Estimate
You’ll price commercial general contracting and construction management work across a diverse mix of markets, including:
Municipal buildings and fire stations
Schools
Water and wastewater facilities
Retail and multifamily
Self-performed general trades
Pre-engineered metal buildings
Most of the work is negotiated and CM pricing with repeat clients and invited bid lists, so you’ll spend your time building relationships, not chasing low-bid hard dollar work.
What You Bring
5+ years of proven experience estimating commercial and/or industrial construction for a general contractor
Ability to develop complete estimates, from quantity takeoffs through subcontractor scope review and final pricing
Experience with negotiated, CM, and/or design-build pricing
Familiarity with estimating and takeoff software
Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with owners, architects, and project teams
Pre-engineered metal building experience is a plus
