Commercial Construction Superintendent – Detroit, MI
A fast-growing, highly respected General Contractor in Detroit is hiring a Commercial Construction Superintendent to join a team that delivers ground-up projects and complex interior renovations at a high level.
This is not a company where you clock in and follow a script. They want Superintendents who take full ownership of their project, lead strong crews, and close out as cleanly as the project was bid.
Salary: $95,000 – $130,000 + Bonus + Vehicle Allowance | Confidential Search
What You’ll Do
- Manage all field operations on ground-up and interior renovation projects from mobilization to punch list
- Direct subcontractors, trade crews, and field personnel across active project sites
- Own site safety compliance, daily reporting, and OSHA standards
- Coordinate with project management on schedule, budget, and change orders
- Lead occupied retail and commercial environments with active tenants on site
- Serve as the primary point of contact between field and project office
Must-Haves
- 5–10+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent
- Proven track record delivering ground-up and interior renovation projects
- Retail and shopping center experience — new builds and remodels in occupied and unoccupied settings
- Strong subcontractor management and crew leadership skills
- Ability to run multiple project scopes simultaneously without dropping the ball
