Federal Construction Project Manager – Jackson, MS

One of Mississippi’s most respected General Contractors is hiring a Federal Construction Project Manager to own the office side of multi-million-dollar federal and healthcare projects across the Southeast.

This is a high-accountability role with real visibility. You’ll manage VA, DoD, hospital, and Army Corps projects — from bid handoff through closeout — with a strong field team behind you and a $30M+ active backlog in front of you.

Salary: $115,000 – $150,000 | Confidential Search

What You’ll Do

• Manage project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor relationships from bid handoff through closeout
• Own federal documentation requirements: RFIs, submittals, quality control plans, and daily logs
• Coordinate with the field Superintendent to keep scope, schedule, and cost aligned
• Handle owner and stakeholder communication for VA, DoD, and Army Corps clients
• Track and manage change orders, pay applications, and project financials
• Maintain federal compliance across all project phases

Must-Haves

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience
• Federal project experience required — VA, DoD, or Army Corps of Engineers
• Hospital construction experience required
• Experience managing projects from $5M to $50M+
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Strong command of federal documentation standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Estimating experience — ability to support preconstruction
• Safety Officer or QC Manager background on federal projects
• College degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Veteran background — a plus
