PM / Estimator – Underground Utilities | Metro Detroit, MI
One of Metro Detroit’s top underground utility General Contractors is hiring a Project Manager / Estimator to lead projects and own the estimating function simultaneously.
This is a high-level leadership opportunity with a family-owned firm that has built its reputation on municipal and MDOT work. They want someone driven and strategic — a construction professional who can run a project, price the next one, and make a serious long-term impact on a growing company.
Salary: $100,000 – $135,000 + Profit Sharing | Confidential Search
What You’ll Do
- Lead project management and estimating functions on municipal underground utility and infrastructure projects
- Develop and review bids, takeoffs, and cost estimates for municipal and MDOT scopes
- Manage large-scale underground utility projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee subcontractor coordination, project budgets, schedules, and documentation
- Support business development and client relationship management with municipal owners
- Mentor field and office staff as the company continues to grow
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of experience in underground utility construction
- Background in municipal and/or MDOT projects
- Hands-on estimating experience on underground utility scopes
- Large-scale underground utility project experience
- Ability to manage and oversee estimating for utility construction projects
