Traveling Superintendent – Commercial & Light Industrial Construction
Location: Chattanooga, TN
A well-established general contractor, in business for over 60 years, is seeking a Traveling Superintendent with a background in commercial and light industrial construction. This is your chance to join a dynamic team, lead projects in the field, and contribute to the company’s continued success.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily on-site operations, including schedule, quality, and safety
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field crews
- Keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Enforce safety programs and maintain OSHA compliance
- Communicate regularly with project managers, owners, and architects
- Run site meetings, daily reports, and job documentation
Qualified Candidates Will Have:
- Superintendent experience on commercial and/or industrial construction projects
- Willingness to travel to project sites
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and scheduling
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- CMAR project experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
