Senior Project Manager – USACE Heavy Civil
Location: Metro New York City

Mid-sized, family-owned general contractor in the Metro NYC area is seeking a Senior Project Manager with direct USACE experience to lead complex heavy civil and utility infrastructure projects. These projects include stormwater infrastructure, interior drainage ponds, detention basins with open channel culverts, and relocation of existing sanitary sewer systems.
This role will oversee large-scale infrastructure work, union labor crews, and complex federal construction requirements while ensuring projects are delivered safely and on schedule.
Candidate Requirements:
- 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
- Direct USACE project management experience.
- Strong background in stormwater systems, drainage basins, culverts, and sanitary sewer relocation.
- Experience managing heavy civil or utility infrastructure projects.
- Experience overseeing union labor crews in the NYC market.
- Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 safety standards
- Professional Engineer (P.E.), PMP or CCM certification is preferred
- Experience managing large federal or public infrastructure projects
- Software Experience with: Sage 300, HCSS, Primavera P6, RMS (USACE Resident Management System)
This is a senior leadership role with a well-established heavy civil contractor delivering major infrastructure and utility projects across the Metro NYC region. The position offers the opportunity to manage high-value projects and lead large construction teams in a complex urban environment.
