Project Manager – Raleigh, NC

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to take the next step in your construction management career? One of the region’s most respected General Contractors is hiring a Project Manager to join their award-winning and financially strong team. This company is known for its excellence in commercial construction projects, collaborative culture, and long-standing reputation for delivering quality.

As a Construction Project Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight for all phases of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You’ll guide project teams, build strong client relationships, and play a critical role in driving both project and company success.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Estimating team during the Preconstruction phase.

  • Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Mentor junior project management staff and support their professional growth.

  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors.

  • Manage subcontractor and vendor procurement, including buyout, scope review, contracts, and insurance.

  • Resolve construction conflicts and drawing interpretation issues efficiently.

  • Oversee all project documentation: Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, Owner Billings, and Reports.

  • Ensure timely and accurate billing through subcontractor and supplier verification.

  • Prepare and update monthly cost projections and budget forecasts.

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules with progress reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience managing commercial construction or light industrial projects.

  • Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and modern construction methods.

  • Exceptional financial management skills with the ability to independently oversee projects from start to finish.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience or certifications also considered
